About CryptPad Events
CryptPad is a privacy-focused collaboration suite designed to allow users to work together on documents, spreadsheets, and presentations without ever exposing their data to the server. Developed by XWiki SAS in France, the platform uses a zero-knowledge architecture where all encryption and decryption happen in the user's browser. Even the system administrators cannot access the content of the files hosted on their instance. The service is fully open-source, allowing organizations to audit the code or host their own instances to maintain total data sovereignty. While it provides a seamless web-based experience, its security model is uncompromising: if a user loses their password, the data is unrecoverable, as the server never holds the keys. It integrates OnlyOffice for sophisticated editing capabilities while ensuring that all processing remains client-side.
