About DNSForge
dnsforge.de is a sovereign, public DNS resolver service managed by adminForge. It is designed to provide users with a faster, safer, and more private internet experience by filtering out advertisements, telemetry trackers, and malicious domains at the network level. The service emphasizes digital sovereignty by hosting all its infrastructure exclusively within Germany and strictly adhering to a 'no-logging' policy. The platform offers multiple filtering tiers ranging from a 'Normal' filter for ads and malware to 'Clean' (adding parental controls) and 'Hard' (stricter rules for advanced users). It leverages modern encryption protocols like DNS-over-TLS, DNS-over-HTTPS, and DNS-over-QUIC to prevent eavesdropping and ISP manipulation. The project is community-funded and utilizes open-source components like PowerDNS and AdGuard Home.
