About LibreOffice
LibreOffice is a powerful, free, and open-source personal productivity suite, giving you six feature-rich applications for all your document production and data processing needs: Writer, Calc, Impress, Draw, Math, and Base. It is the successor to OpenOffice.org and is developed by a large community of contributors under the leadership of The Document Foundation, a German non-profit foundation. The suite uses the OpenDocument Format (ODF) as its native format but is highly compatible with Microsoft Office formats. Because it is locally installed software, it provides a high degree of digital sovereignty and privacy, as no data is sent to a central cloud provider by default. It is available in over 110 languages and runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux.
