About PeerTube
PeerTube is a free and open-source, decentralized video platform that utilizes a peer-to-peer (P2P) network to reduce server bandwidth. Developed by the French nonprofit association Framasoft, it allows users to host their own video instances that can interconnect through the ActivityPub protocol. The software enables independent instances to form a federated network, allowing users on one instance to discover and watch videos from others. It includes features for live streaming, multiple resolution transcoding, and comprehensive moderation controls for instance administrators.
