    About SearXNG

SearXNG is a privacy-respecting, hackable metasearch engine. It is a fork of the searx project. It aggregates results from more than 70 search services (and up to 247 total sources including specialized engines) and does not track or profile its users. Search queries are submitted to engines without any user-identifiable information, protecting user privacy against both the search engines used and the SearXNG instance operator. The project is entirely open-source and decentralized. While there is no official 'SearXNG company,' the software is deployed across hundreds of public instances globally, many of which are hosted within the EU. It is designed to be highly customizable, allowing users to select which engines to use for different types of searches (general, images, news, science, etc.) and offers several themes and advanced settings.
