About SiPearl
SiPearl is a French fabless semiconductor company established to return high-performance microprocessor design sovereignty to Europe. Born out of the European Processor Initiative (EPI), the company focuses on creating the 'Rhea' processor, specifically engineered for the EuroHPC Joint Undertaking ecosystem. Their chips are designed to power exascale supercomputers, handling massive data processing for AI, healthcare, climate modeling, and defense. The company operates a unique European Electronic Design Automation (EDA) center and utilizes its own sovereign data centers in France to manage its development lifecycle. While the design is strictly European, the company leverages global supply chains for manufacturing, specifically partnering with TSMC. SiPearl integrates low-power ARM-based cores with proprietary European innovations to meet the energy efficiency demands of modern supercomputing centers like JUPITER.
