About Cryptee
Cryptee is a European, privacy-first cloud service that provides encrypted storage for photos and videos alongside a full-featured encrypted documents editor. Files are encrypted on the client using AES-256 before leaving the device, so Cryptee cannot access the contents of user data. The service emphasizes anonymity, offering sign-up without personal identifiers, and operates without analytics, cookies, trackers, or ads. The Photos product supports albums, “ghost” albums for deniability, RAW formats, tagging, intelligent and typo-tolerant search, EXIF-based sorting, and date editing. The Docs editor supports markdown, hotkeys, inline code, KaTeX math, tables, checkboxes, cross-links/attachments, Evernote import, DOCX/PDF open/edit, and encrypted PDF export. Cryptee works across major platforms via a progressive web app with encrypted instant sync and offline capability. The company positions itself as European-made, GDPR-compliant by design, and bootstrapped with subscription-only revenue.
